The two day event will starting Thursday September 1.
Speakers from BHP Billiton Petroleum, Shell Development (Australia), COSCO Oceania and ResourcesLaw International will take part in panel discussions on topics such as greenhouse emissions and carbon sequestration, outlooks for supply and demand, risk management and the effects of the current skills shortage on LNG operations and ship crewing.
Delegates from APEC’s 21 member economies have been invited to attend the forum which will aim to put in place measures to allow for the growth of the LNG industry in the Asia Pacific.
The APEC nations are Australia, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Peru, The Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, the US and Vietnam.
Their findings will be reported at the APEC Ministers Meeting to be held in Korea in October.
