"There is much tension in international oil markets, but Iran is making good progress selling its liquefied natural gas. Greece declared its readiness to import gas from Iran… through Iran-Turkey gas pipelines," Azimi said.
"We are seeking ways to transfer gas to Europe through Ukraine and Bulgaria. While European countries are rejecting Russian gas, Iran should accelerate the process," he added.
The giant South Pars project will supply the gas for export, having already met the requirements of the internal Iranian market. Azimi also announced that a contract was recently signed to implement phase 12 of the South Pars Project.
Iran has the second largest gas reserves in the world after Russia.
