The Morton Estate-1 gas wildcat has reached total depth of 11,500 feet and is being cased for production testing.
Several thin gas-bearing zones have been encountered in this well, but high levels of mud fittrate invasion mean production testing is necessary to confirm commercial potential. Amadeus has a 50% stake in this well.
Meanwhile, recompletion operations have restarted at Pesek-1. A cement squeeze is being conducted to remedy the cement channel that caused premature suspension of the previous completion attempt.
High-pressure gas in the 10,550 foot zone has been confirmed at the well, and the company reports that it is now a matter of achieving cement integrity to enable long-term production testing to begin. Amadeus has a 25% interest in this gas well.
Other operations underway include an expected construction start within two weeks of a surface pipeline that will bring online the New Henderson Unit-1 and Harbus Trust-1 gas wildcat wells, which Amadeus has a 50% working interest in.
The work had been delayed by grid ownership disputes among the pipeline companies, which is understood to be largely resolved.
Amadeus also has a 25% stake in oil and gas wildcat well Butschek-1, which has been placed back onto production from the Wilcox 9000 feet zone after a remedial cement squeeze to isolate the producing zone from overlaying water-bearing sands.
The well is displaying a steady increase in production as it cleans up after the cement job, however, production is being kept low (210 thousand cubic feet of gas a day and 10 barrels of oil a day) to minimise the possibility of water breakthrough.
Henderson is part of the Texas – Koerth II project while Pesek-1, Harbus Trust-1 and Butschek-1 are all in the Halletsville South project. Trio Consulting & Management is the operator in all of these wells.
