Under terms of the contract, the work will include construction of sulfinol and power generation plants and other connecting piping and structural works associated with Train 4.
The contract win expands United's involvement in the project, with the company already undertaking $10 million of pipe spooling fabrication.
"This contract reinforces United Group's position as one of Australia's leading oil and gas specialists. A focus on our project execution core competencies and an excellent safety record were key factors in securing the contract," said United's managing director and chief executive officer, Richard Leupen.
Mr Leupen added the development of Train 4 is a strong signal that the Australian resource construction sector is again in a growth phase and he looks forward to continuing United's 20-year relationship with Woodside.
