South Korean construction giant Hyundai Heavy Industries Company has won a $US760 million contrac...

The South Korean firm, which is also the world’s biggest shipbuilders said the deal is the second it has ever secured and upon completion around mid-2005, the oil would shipped to the US market.

In a separate deal, Hyundai has won a $US160 million construction order from a Chinese joint venture company to build two offshore platforms and install a submarine pipeline on a turnkey basis. China’s ACT-OG is a joint venture made up of CNOCC, Chevron, Texaco and Operators Group.
