Eighty-five kilometres of 2D seismic will be shot over PEL 426, 30km in PEL 13 and the remaining 12km in PEL 16.
Completion of the program in New South Wales will allow Metgasco to earn a 50% interest in PEL 426 and a 50% interest in the conventional hydrocarbon rights in PEL 13.
The program is being carried out by Terrex Seismic, which has started line clearing and surveying work.
