IPA to hold 30th conference

The theme this year is “The Urgency of Building Competitiveness to Attract Oil and Gas Investment in Indonesia.”

The organisers expect the Indonesian president will open the convention and exhibition on the morning of Tuesday, August 30, accompanied by H.E. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The keynote speaker for this event is David O’Reilly, chairman and CEO of Chevron Corporation.

Over 100 quality technical papers covering latest developments on geoscience, engineering, business, community development and HSE will be presented. More than 60 exhibitors will be showcased in over 2,000 square metres of exhibition space.

In additional to the technical presentations, the convention will host three short courses and field trips to Southern Mountains, SE Java and NW Borneo.

Pre-convention events include the Golf Tournament (Sunday, August 28) and an Ice Breaker Party in the Golden Ballroom of the Jakarta Hilton Hotel (Monday, August 29). The convention will also feature Cocktails in the Exhibition Area (Wednesday, August 31).
