Production opportunities lie in applying newer and cheaper technology in Kyrgyzstan, Caspian said. This country was explored by the Soviets who were searching for but uncovered many, often live oil leads.
Caspian is not alone in targeting Kyrgyzstan but is unique in having such a commanding position in the prospective parts of the country.
The company has modest oil production from its Ashvaz and Charvak licences which is transported by road to the modern, British owned refinery at Jalalabad, about 10km from Charvak. Some 200 km of seismic is planned.
