Perth-based Voyager Energy says cased hole tests will be carried out over the intervals 2,025m to 2,055m and 2,115m to 2,145m.
These zones exhibited increased gas levels during drilling, according to Voyager. Electric log data acquired across the zones also indicated secondary porosity in the objective carbonate rocks.
The gas readings in these zones were increased by up to 10 times background levels with a peak of some 47 units at 2,142 metres.
"Although the shows were not strong, there is evidence that the porous zones have been heavily flushed by drilling mud which may have suppressed the response from the formation," Voyager said.
"Up to 7,000 barrels of drilling fluid may have been lost to these zones of interest during drilling."
