Amity maintains strong flows from Cayirdere-2

Amity has run a successful production test on its Cayirdere-2 well from the interval between 641-646 metres, maintaining a clean-up flow rate of 6.25 million standard cubic feet per day.

The well has now been suspended as a gas production well awaiting pipeline connection to the gas plant. Cayirdere-2 is located about 33 kilometres southeast of the Gocerler gasfield. The well will be a second production well on a shallow anticline with a coincident 2D seismic amplitude ("bright spot") anomaly.

Cayirdere-2 is the third well on the Cayirdere field and the second development well after the field was put into early production on 17 December 2003 and has been producing from the discovery well only.

Cayiredere-3 was completed early in February as a gas well awaiting tie-in to the existing gas plant.

The Cayirdere structure is a shallow anticlinal feature with strong amplitudes on the 3D seismic data. The closest well to Cayirdere-2 is Cayirdere-1 which was put on early production this month.

The well is in the Petroleum Exploration Licence AR/AOI/3338, which forms part of Area "B" of the Thrace Joint Venture and is located approximately 120 kilometres west of Istanbul in Turkey's onshore Thrace Basin.

Participants in the well are Amity Oil International 50% and Türkiye Petrolleri A.O. 50% (operator).
