Bridge executive director Ed Davies told EnergyReview.Net today that Hursthouse-1 had reached the 1818m target depth within the Miocene-aged Mount Messenger-Moki sands but did not encounter any significant shows.

The OD&E Rig 19 is now moving north to drill another shallow well - Karaka-A1 in the Waitara Valley - for newly-appointed PEP 38742 operator Swift Energy and partner, petrochemical manufacturer Ballance Agri-Nutrients.

After the Karaka well the rig is scheduled to drill Kakariki-1 in PEP 38748 for operator Tap Oil and partners.
