During the week, DST-1 conducted over the Basement interval 2,111 - 2,202 metres, failed to flow due to mechanical problems with the testing equipment.
DST-2 was conducted over a possible oil-water transition zone in the lowest part of the Qishn S2 Sandstone between 1,784.5 - 1,789.5 metres and flowed an average of 544 barrels per day of 24 degree API oil, 7,074 barrels per day of water and 0.23 MMscfd gas during a nine hour flow period.
DST-3 will be conducted over the upper part of the Qishn S2 Sandstone, which electric logs indicate to be hydrocarbon bearing. The test interval will be between 1,769 - 1,781.5 metres.
The Nabrajah-1 well is located in the central sector of Block 43 and is testing the hydrocarbon potential of the Qishn Sandstone, along with deeper reservoir objectives such as the Basement.
Nabrajah-1 is the second of two farm-in wells that Oil Search is participating in to earn a 25% working interest (29.42% paying interest) in Block 43.
The participants in this well are DNO ASA 50% (operator), Oil Search (Yemen) 25%, First Calgary Petroleums 10% and The Yemen Company 15%.
