Bibby gets on with it

BIBBY Offshore has begun work with Maersk Oil UK on a multi-million pound contract to provide subsea construction and inspection, repair and maintenance services to all of Maersk's North Sea assets.

Bibby gets on with it

The work will be conducted using the dive support vessel Bibby Sapphire, with an extensive engineering project management team based onshore to support it.

The engineering work for the contract has been ongoing since the third quarter of 2013, with the initial work scope involving the completion of well tie-ins, decommissioning, support for flowline connection and disconnection and IRM activities.

These operations will be in support of Maersk's Gryphon and GP3 floating production, storage and offloading units, as well as the Janice floating production unit.

The contract follows a series of work conducted by Bibby on Maersk's behalf, including past work on the Gryphon area reinstatement program.
