GHD is reviewing automation for the Keepit and Hume power stations in Tamworth and Albury, and upgrading the Brown Mountain power station in Bega.
GHD completed a feasibility study and functional specification for a design and construct contract for the Brown Mountain power station.
This work incorporated a load flow study and risk management workshop, as well as technical assistance to Eraring Energy with evaluation of the tenders and assessment of the contractor’s designs.
The company also conducted a review of environmental factors (REF), a pipeline inspection and hydrology analysis for the Brown Mountain facility.
GHD is also reviewing the requirements, options and costs of providing automation, remote monitoring and control for emergency shutdown at the Keepit and Hume stations.
“The consistency of our design for automation will allow the operators to run each power station on familiar systems with a consistent operator interface, which enhances safety and saves our client time and money,” said GHD.
