Texon flows gas from Duranbah

TEXON Petroleum has flowed gas from one of four zones of interest tested at the Duranbah-1 well onshore South Texas.

Duranbah-1 flowed at a rate of 930,000 cubic feet of gas, 5.3 barrels of oil and 27 barrels of water per day from zone at 1890m. Testing of the lower three zones was unsuccessful.

Texon said surface production facilities are in place and a pipeline will be built to connect the well for production within the next month or two.

It added that the well will be recompleted to the two shallower untested potential gas-bearing zones after the gas in the current zone is depleted.

Texon has a 95% working interest in Duranbah-1 and will have 71.25% net revenue interest if the well is successful.

The testing equipment will now be moved to Fingal-1, where Texon had encountered a potential gas-bearing formation at 952m with a thickness of 5.5m.
