The operator, Crusader Energy Group, is now building the angle of the well bore to set the casing point in the Cleveland formation in the next few days, the company said.
Once cased, horizontal drilling will begin for 4500 feet to the tip before the formation is fracture stimulated and flow tested, the company added.
Spudded on June 8, Brearley 1-H11 is targeting 1.5 billion cubic feet of gas and 50,000 barrels of oil.
According to the company, similar wells in the area began production at average rates of 200bpd of oil and 800,000cfd of gas.
Provided the Brearley 1-H11 well achieves target, another 5-8 wells could be drilled across the three adjoining sections, Exoma said.
Exoma has a 25.87% working interest in the well.
