The Sydney-based company has now started well completion, including down-hole cleanup, seam perforations, formation enhancement and pump installation at this 10th and final well.

Drilled to a total depth of 689m, Esponda 15-3 encountered a total 38.1m of coal, of which 18.3m was in the Big George interval.

The West Esponda pilot program, which totals 5850 net hectares, comprises 10 wells and a total of 6874m drilled and 6790m cased in a staggered offset pattern.

The project was designed to test the two main benches of the Big George seam identified in last year’s stratigraphic drilling program.

Planet Gas is waiting on bidding receipts to construct its 200 megalitre water discharge retention facility. Construction of this pollution discharge elimination system facility is still subject to approval from the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality.
