Texas project is music to Amadeus’ ears

AMADEUS Energy says it is continuing its exploration success at the Halletsville project in Lavaca County, Texas, with the latest well, Renger Sassin-1, encountering gas pay in three separate zones in the Konvicka channel.

Drilled to a total depth of 7120 feet (2170m), the well intersected 18 feet of net pay in the largest zone.

Meanwhile, the Pesek-1 gas re-entry has achieved a flow rate of 2.5 million cubic feet of gas per day. But Amadeus said well bore mechanical difficulties has prevented the well being completed. Subsequently, the Pesek well will be used as a saltwater disposal well to reduce operating costs in this field.

However, multiple zones intersected in the Pesek well have opened up several drilling opportunities for offset development wells, the company said. The first of these will be the Gerdes-1A later in the year.

Amadeus holds a 25% stake in both the Pesek-1 and Renger Sassin-1 wells.

In addition, Halletsville operator, Trio Consulting & Management LLC, has spudded the Janak-1 gas appraisal well in the Koerth project, which is currently drilling ahead at a depth of 2676 feet.
