Tomahawk spuds next Oklahoma well

TOMAHAWK Energy has spudded Martin 1-36, the 18th well in its Oklahoma gas project, and is preparing to test its two most recent wells in the next few weeks.

The company expects Martin 1-36, in 10-9 Township, will reach a total depth of 1280 metres by the middle of this month.

In the same area, Palmer 1-28 and Long 1-27 are scheduled for testing in the coming weeks, Tomahawk said.

The first, Palmer 1-28 has been perforated and acidised in the conventional Meisner Sandstone with the unconventional Shales remaining behind pipe. Meanwhile, Long 1-2 is due for treatment when the service teams become available, it said.

Late last month, Tomahawk reported its Long-1-27 well had encountered gas kicks in its primary objectives up to three times stronger than those found in the nearby Palmer-1-28 well.
