Bindaree-1 and 2 are the first two production test wells at the Bindaree Prospect which lies within the Harcourt gas accumulation. They are located to the immediate north of the Mungi Gas Field and the prospect is considered a likely extension of the Mungi Field where Molopo and its partners have 13 CBM production wells currently on line.

The company also said Mungi 14, the first of three new development wells on the Mungi field have been brought on line after being hydraulically fracture stimulated. Molopo said this represented the commencement of the second stage of development drilling in this area.

The Mungi CBM gas field is located in PL94 in the Bowen Basin, and is the closest CBM producer to the significant Gladstone industrial market. Bindaree/Harcourt is located in PLA 210 (formerly ATP564P).

The partners will seek Queensland Government approval for gas produced from these Bindaree wells to be connected to the existing gas gathering system at Mungi so the gas may be treated and sold.

Interests are Origin Energy Limited (50%), Molopo (25%)and Helm Energy-Australia LLC (25%).
