It also said there would be delays in bringing the oil pipeline to its Butschek-1 oil wildcat, with production now slated for June this year.
“Zones of interest were encountered in the Wilcox, Midcox and Upper Navarro formations. 4½-inch casing has been run to total depth, as a prelude to production testing of these zones, which will start in 4-6 weeks. Further reports will be released on the production testing of each zone as it proceeds,” Amadeus said yesterday in a drilling report.
The well (Amadeus 50%) is the fifth consecutive successful well to be drilled in the Lavaca County Wilcox-Midcox trend by Amadeus in the past twelve months. It said more thanlocations remain to be tested, all close to pipeline facilities.
Amadeus said next it would be shifting the drill rig to the Harbus Trust-1 well, 6000 feet to the north, to test the Wilcox zone at 7500 feet with the operator again being Trio Consulting & Management LLC.
Trio, with Amadeus again, is re-entering the Pesek-1 well where it is in the process of drilling out the cement plug and re-entering the well to the target depth of 11,300 feet, at which point testing of several zones will commence.
Amadeus said the Butschek well has experienced delays in pipeline right of way access with landowners.
“A new pipeline route has been established and permits have recently been approved and signed. Construction of surface facilities was completed on 22 April with the well expected to commence production from early June.”
Amadeus has a 25% working interest in Butschek-1.
