Black Rock works over Colombian well

Black Rock has a 50% stake in the heavy oil project before government participation elections.

The company and its partners will reenter and test the Bukhara heavy oil discovery and the Arce Oil Field in the Las Quinchas.

Two perforation phases are planned. Initially the Lower Esmeraldas formation below 6,350 feet will be perforated over nine intervals totalling 128 feet.

Later a second phase will be undertaken in the Upper Esmeraldas formation between 6,187 and 6,350 feet, representing a further 100 feet of perforation.

The results of the testing will be announced as soon as they are available and the Colombian government agency has approved their release.
