Tomahawk also said four wells drilled earlier this year have been completed and were expected to be brought into production within the next fortnight, giving the company nine producing wells.
Tomahawk said logs from Hudson 1-16 had indicated 269 feet of gross hydrocarbons over 6 intervals in both the primary and secondary objectives. “The two primary unconventional objectives, the Caney Shale and the Woodford Shale, intersected gross thicknesses of 163 feet and 42 feet respectively.”
The well has also discovered gas over four conventional formations where it intersected gross thicknesses of 64 feet. A testing program is currently being devised which will test the majority of these hydrocarbon-bearing formations.
Tomahawk said four of its Snell Heirs wells had been completed for production. The two primary wells, the Snell-Heirs 4-18 and Snell-Heirs 1-17 had been fraced in the unconventional Woodford Shale formation.
The two offset or accelerator wells, THK Snell-Heirs and 5-18 THK Snell-Heirs 2-17 have been completed in a number of the secondary conventional formations. It said all four wells were ready to commence selling gas as soon as they were connected to the gas gathering system which is anticipated to be completed within 14 days.
“On bringing these wells into production the company will virtually double the number of producing wells from 5 to 9 but far more importantly for revenue purposes the company has a 100% working interest (71.5% NRI) in these wells compared to 50% (37.5% NRI) in most of the wells completed during 2004.”
