In an ASX statement, Oil Search said the well was at the planned total depth of 2,985 metres and currently being conditioned in preparation for testing.
“Interpretation of the results indicates the presence of a hydrocarbon column within a 42 metre thick dolomite section in the Kholan Formation,” the company said.
The objective of the testing program is to evaluate the significance of hydrocarbon shows seen in the upper part of the Basement and to establish the nature and productivity of the hydrocarbons in the Kholan Formation.
Nabrajah-5 is a deviated well with a top Qishn S2 target location approximately 1,100 metres south of Nabrajah-4.
