Lauda-1 takes pole position

Minor partner Tap Oil said Lauda-1 will evaluate the oil potential of the structure updip of the Minden-1 well, located 600 metres to the southeast, which is interpreted to have been drilled on the downthrown side of this fault, missing the structural closure.

The prospect comprises an interpreted structural closure of Barrow Group sandstones sealed against the northerly trending Minden Fault, 27 kilometres west northwest of the Woollybutt Oil Field.

It is expected to take 12 days to reach the total depth of 3,288 metres measured depth.

Interests in WA-290-P are OMV Barrow Pty Ltd (Operator), Tap (Shelfal) Pty Ltd 25.00%, 50.00%, Nippon Oil Exploration (Australia) Pty Ltd 25.00%.
