Tap gives up on Miromiro-1

ASX-LISTED explorer Tap Oil and partners are plugging and abandoning their Miromiro-1 well in onshore Taranaki licence PEP 38765 after failing to find significant hydrocarbons.

Partner Austral Pacific Energy says on its website that plug and abandon operations are due to be completed by now and the drilling rig released. It is known the OD & E Rig 19 is to be moved further north to drill Hurthouse-1 for Bridge Petroleum and Westech Energy in PEP 38745.
