Testing over a 12-hour flow period of two lower zones (2,783.5 to 2,795 metres and 2,796.5 and 2,806.3 metres) initially flowed gas to surface at a peak rate of 7.6 million cubic feet per day, then produced gas at a stabilised rate of 1.08 million cubic feet per day with 36 barrels of condensate.
This follows a previous test on the zone 2,734-2,741 metres, which produced gas to surface at a stabilised rate of 8.3 million cubic feet per day and about 90 barrels of condensate over a 12-hour period.
“These excellent flows and close proximity to existing pipeline facilities augur well for early production and cash flow,” said Great Artesian Oil and Gas managing director Ray Shaw.
