Located in ATP 608P, Rookwood West-1 is expected to intersect the Boxvale Sandstone over the interval 1377 to 1383 metres.

Rookwood East-1 is anticipated to be in production on or about 12 December.

The field is interpreted from seismic data to have the potential to contain up to 11 million barrels of recoverable oil in the target Jurassic Boxvale Sandstone.

Interests in the Rookwood Block are Oilex 59.06%, Victoria Petroleum 29.69% and private interests 11.25%. Interests in the rest of ATP 608P are Oilex 66.75%, Victoria Petroleum 24% and private interests 9.25%.
