These new wells are adjacent to the Snell Heirs 8-13, 2-19 and 3-19 wells and offset by about 50m from each of these original wells.
Of the three new wells, Snell Heirs 9-13 targeted oil-saturated sands discovered during the drilling of the 8-13 well and reached a total depth of 2,990 feet. Good oil shows were encountered again in these sands and this shallow formation will be fracced in a few weeks and brought into production soon thereafter, according to Tomahawk executive chairman Tony Brennan.
Snell Heirs 4-19 is offset to Snell Heirs 2-19 and reached a total depth of 2,660 feet. Two very heavy gas blowouts were encountered.
“The flow rates experienced during these blowouts were considerable and exceed the company’s expectations, [which] augurs well for bringing this well into production with strong flow rates in the coming weeks,” Brennan said.
Snell Heirs 5-19 has been offset from 3-19 and reached a total depth of 2,346 feet. The well has been cased and the target formations will be perforated and brought into production in two to three weeks, Brennan said.
“Tomahawk has the potential to have 10 wells either in production or coming into production within six months of ASX listing,” Brennan said.
Tomahawk has a 50% working interest in each of these wells.
