Beach confirms new Eromanga Basin oil producer

DST 1 recovered 34 barrels of clean oil in the drill string.

Following evaluation, Kenmore-31 will be completed as an oil producer from the Hutton Sandstone.

The full potential of the well would be determined once the rest of the oil column had been penetrated and wireline logs had been obtained, Beach said.

Kenmore-31 is the first well in the company’s current five-well southwest Queensland infill drilling program. The 12-week program (Kenmore-31, Kenmore-32, Kenmore-33, Bodalla South-15 and Coolum-1) includes another two appraisal wells at Kenmore, one appraisal well at Bodalla South and one exploration well in ATP 269P.

Beach Petroleum owns 100% of the Kenmore Field.
