Amadeus spuds two new US wells

AMADEUS’ US operators have spudded two new wells in the last week – Rash Barrett-6 in Red Creek, Oklahoma and Clont-2 in Knox County, Texas.

Rash Barrett-6 has a target depth of 2,650 feet in the Arbuckle sands objective. Amadeus has a 60% working interest in this well and the operator is Trio Consulting & Management LLC.

Clont-2 was spudded on Saturday 16 October. It reached its target depth of 2,350 feet on Wednesday October 19 and logging has begun. It is located in the NKCU prospect where Amadeus has an 81% working interest. The operator is TNT Engineering Inc.

Meanwhile, Amadeus’ Racoon Bend, Texas project is progressing. Amadeus plans to drill five wells at this prospect. Each well will take about a week to drill, according to Amadeus.

The Diemer-21 well has reached its target depth of 4,400 feet. As reported, nine feet of oil was encountered in the DY-3 sand. The well is being sidetracked into the optimal location of the DY-1 and DY-2 sands to give better positioning for recovering up-dip reserves. The sidetracking is expected to take between 7-10 days.

The Payne-44 well was spudded on 15 October and is nearing its target depth of 4,500 feet.

Amadeus has a 60.5% working interest in Racoon Bend. The operator is TNT Engineering Inc.
