Christies-3 produces at 2400 bopd

The Christie-3 JV well has been successfully cased and completed for production after being drill...

In a statement operator Beach Petroleum said, “During a two-hour production test, Christies-3 flowed oil at a stabilised rate of 2,400 bopd from the Birkhead Formation/Hutton Sandstone interval 1612.5 – 1636.0 metres.”

An earlier release had indicated 10 metres of net pay in the Namur Sandstone, seven metres of net oil in the lower Birkhead Formation/Hutton Sandstone and three metres of net oil pay in a mid-Birkhead Formation sandstone.

Beach has a 75% interest in the well. The balance is held by Cooper Energy NL. The well is in the PEL 92 acreage in South Australia’s Cooper/Eromanga Basin.
