DRILLING

Harriet back in the frame

The Harriet Joint Venture (HJV) has resurfaced after a brief drilling lay off to spud the Monet-2 development well in TL/1, from the Simpson Bravo Platform, taking advantage of its recent Monet-1 success.

Monet-2 will be drilled as a production well in the Flag Sandstone of the Monet Field which is approximately 3.5 kilometres northeast of the platform. The discovery well, Monet-1, intersected a 20 metre gross oil column.

Upon successful completion, production from the Monet-2 well is expected to commence in the following two weeks at a rate of around 2,000 bopd.

According to HJV, the small Monet Oil Field, which was discovered nine weeks ago, has robust economics due to the existing HJV production infrastructure and rapid development timeframe.

Harriet Joint Venture participants are Tap Oil 12.2229%, Apache Energy (Operator) 68.5% and Kufpec Australia Pty Ltd 19.2771%.
