Overston set for testing next month

The test results will provide the JV with additional information on the potential commerciality of the gas discovered, after the well was cased and suspended as a gas producer.

Overston-2a was drilled to 3140 metres with the Tinowon Sandstone section above the Wallabella Coal appearing to be relatively tight based on the initial flow test results.

The section below the Wallabella Coal appears to have better reservoir characteristics with log gas pay interpreted by the operator over a number of zones.

It was decided that additional work by the operator (including cased-hole testing) was required so that the potential commercial significance of the pre-Wallabella section could be more accurately determined.

Partners are Samson International (Australia) Pty Ltd - operator 50%, Sunshine Gas Limited (SHG) 50%.
