If everything goes according to plan, the rig will be built will be a Keppel FELS MOD V B class enhanced jack-up that will be capable of operating in water of up to around 350 feet. The deep drilling capacity of this rig is about 35,000 feet.

As buyer, Skeie has the option of ordering an additional unit - with the same tech specs - within the next six months with price adjustments allowed for currency fluctuations. Construction time for the rig is expected to be around 26 months.
