DRILLING

Huinga shut in

The Huinga-1B well remains shut in after swabbing operations over the problematic Murihiku formation were halted by the operator while it evaluates the results of the drilling data and decides a future course of action.

Huinga shut in

The well encountered a gross hydrocarbon column in excess of 200 metres but lost over 28,000 barrels of drilling fluids into the Murihiku formation. The well did not flow successfully after the initial oil was produced to the surface.
