Mauritania timed for end of month: partners

The drilling of the eagerly awaited Chinguetti follow up wells is looming large following reports...

The first well will be the Chinguetti 4-2 appraisal well which will test a geologically separate portion of the discovery, 2.5 kilometres from the first well.

Following that well will be the Banda wildcat well in Block A. The other firm well is the Thon wildcat well in Block 6.

The partners have also earmarked two contingent wells - one being another Chinguetti appraisal well and the other being a wildcat in Block B (Tiof Prospect).

Partners include Woodside, Eni, Hardman, Roc and Fusion.
