In a statement released to the media, OSL stated, "DST #1 will be an open hole test of the Basement interval between 2111-2202mMD. DST #2 and #3 will be conducted over the lower and upper parts of the Qishn S2 Sandstone between 1784.5 - 1789.5mMD and 1769 - 1781.5mMD respectively."
The objective of the three DSTs - according to OSL - is to determine fluid type and flow rates at the well, with special emphasis on both DST #2 and #3. Because - according to the data analysed - those two layers seem to be hydrocarbon bearing.
OSL has a 25% working interest in the well. DSO ASA is the operator and has a 50% stake. The other partners are First Calgary Petroleums Ltd (10%) and The Yemen Co (15%).
