Medco said the well was completed on 17th July and potential markets for the gas discovery included the Bunyu Methanol Plant and power generation in Tarakan Island.
Medco also said it was now conducting a feasibility study on the building of a pipeline from the Pidawan location to Tarakan Island in order to market the gas.
CityView has a net 16% interest in the well.
