The drilling program is a joint venture between the Turkish Government and Amity Oil.
Amity said a 16 metre net (19m gross) gas column was indicated by wireline logs in a good quality sandstone reservoir. It said good flows were obtained over this interval during drilling.
The interval was between 649m and 698m. The well is being cased for production testing this week.
