Argos P&A'd

The Argos well in the Carnarvon Basin will be plugged and abandoned after failing to find any signs of hydrocarbons in the target reservoir.

The primary target, the Early Cretaceous sandstones, is productive in the nearby Legendre oilfield and was successfully intersected but no significant hydrocarbons were encountered.

The well is in WA 254p (part 1) and was drilled to 2052m.

Participants are Apache (47.9%) , Pan Pacific (2.9%), Woodside Energy (24.4%), First Australian Resources (10.8%), Sun Resources (7.8%) and Victoria Petroleum (6.2%).
