Guilford well spuds in Carnarvon Basin

Woodside and its partner from the North West Shelf, Japan Energy (MIMI), spudded the Guilford-1 well in the Carnarvon Basin last week.

The well is being drilled in WA-269-P using the Atwood Falcon semi-submersible drilling rig, approximately 75 kilometres west of the Goodwyn "A" platform.

A Woodside spokesperson said further details, such as the water depth and the planned total depth, would remain confidential until a discovery was made.

Equities are Woodside (80%) and Japan Energy LNG (MIMI) (20%).
