Worrior-1 is located in PEL 93 about 55 km south-west of Moomba and about 800m south-east of the Pando-1well drilled in 1966.
Currently the operator, Stuart Petroleum, is installing the wellhead and preparing for rig release, having run and set 7" production casing.
The well intercepted two oil shows in two days with a combined flow of over 3,600bopd, with further drilling on Thursday also producing a gas flow of 7.3 million cubic feet from DST #4.
A report on reserve estimates will be made as soon as possible following a technical analysis of all information.
The rig will move to the site of Kiwi-1 in PEL 90 in the northern part of the Cooper Basin. This well should spud in about one week and further reports will be issued at that time.
Interests in PEL 93 are Stuart Petroleum (operator) and 70% Cooper Energy NL 30%.
