Woodside P&A's two wells

Woodside has reported that the Neptune-4 appraisal well, in which it has a 20% interest, has been plugged and abandoned after failing to find hydrocarbons in the target formation. It was spudded on the 8th December.

The offshore WA Whitetail-1 well was plugged and abandoned as planned, according to the Woodside report. The well, drilled by the North West Shelf joint venture partners, is located in WA-296P. The report did not give any indication of whether the well encountered any hydrocarbons.

Woodside is bound by confidentiality clauses with its partners not to release any further information than was present in the report.
