Beach to spud Maslins-1 on weekend

Beach Petroleum and partner Magellan Petroleum will spud the Maslins-1 well in the Cooper - Eroma...

This will be the second well of a four well exploration program being undertaken by Beach Petroleum, in the South Australian sector of the Basin.

The following two wells, Aldinga-1 and Henley-1 are to be drilled in the adjacent tenement, PEL 95. Maslins-1 is located approximately 90km south of Moomba and will test one of the largest untested structures in the Cooper Basin with more than 50 square kilometres of areal closure and 40 metres of vertical relief mapped.

Beach has assessed the potential mean recoverable oil reserves in the Maslins structure to be 5.4 million barrels.
