Sixteen of the 20 Elizabeth Macarthur (EM) coalbed methane production wells have been drilled and the remaining four EM production wells are being drilled inside Sydney Gas’ high production fairway in Stage II of the Camden Gas Project.

These wells are located less than 3km from the Rosalind Park Gas Plant at Campbelltown, which has been supplying sales gas to AGL Wholesale Gas Ltd since 16 December 2004.

“All of these wells will be fracture-stimulated and completed,” Sydney Gas said.

“When dewatered, these wells will be put on a production flow test program. It is planned to then tie them into the gas gathering system that is delivering gas to the Rosalind Park Gas Plant for sale to AGL.”
