EWC defers payment again

Energy World said at the time that the Commonwealth Bank and its appointed independent expert were still evaluating and discussing plans to allow the company to pay its obligations to the bank in full.

Last Friday, EWC notified the exchange that the CBA and its appointed independent experts are still in discussions about debt repayment and as a result, the CBA has agreed for a second time to defer the next repayment, until 22 May.

The short-term financing facility was established with the Commonwealth Bank in 1997.
