The SEAAOC conference - to be held at the Carlton Hotel from June 17-18 - will look at the Timor Gap Treaty, gas to Darwin, onshore and offshore gas processing, LNG project proposals and other issues impacting on the Northern Australian gas industry.
Apart from the East Timorese Chief Minister, other notable keynote speakers will include Northern Territory chief minister, Clare Martin, who will present NT's position on the offshore industry, Timor Sea gas to Darwin, regulation and taxation.
With a decision on the Sunrise development scheduled for October, senior executives from Shell, Phillips and Woodside will present their perspectives and project updates on the controversial project.
With Shell and Woodside agreeing to reconsider bringing gas onshore, the chief executives from Epic Energy and Australian Pipeline Trust will outline their views on pipelines from Darwin to the south east Australian gas market.
Potential domestic users of Timor Gas including CS Energy, Nabalco and Australia Gas Light Company will also be making presentations at the conference.
Other leading presenters on major gas projects around the region include Kazuhisa Konoma from INPEX Corporation, Bruce Wood from Santos and Chris Hart of Methanol Australia.
