Bumi builds Indonesia-bound FPSO

The vessel will be delivered to the Madura BD field offshore Indonesia, which has probable reserves of 212 billion cubic feet of natural gas and 12.2 million barrels of natural gas liquids

The proposed development plan for the Madura BD gas field includes the installation of an unmanned production platform, a 9km pipeline to new gas processing facilities to be constructed on Kambing Island and a 45km pipeline to market.

Peak production is estimated to be about 80 million cubic feet per day.

The FPSO will be chartered for 10 years with options for five annual extensions.

Operations using the vessel will begin in the fourth quarter of 2016.
