The Jaya Majestic anchor handling tug supply vessel was built at one of Mermaid's Jaya shipyards in southeast Asia, following the company's recent acquisition of the Singaporean shipbuilder.
Majestic is the first new build vessel to be delivered following the acquisition.
The anchor handler is ideally suited to supporting jack-up rigs, semi-submersible rigs, floating production, storage and offloading vessels and offshore construction spreads.
The vessel has a clear deck area of over 600 square metres, making it 20% larger than equivalent vessels in the region and providing extra room for rig support.
Industry safety standards are met with firefighting and oil dispersant equipment on board, making Majestic suitable for emergency response.
Majestic is now bound for South East Asian operations later this month.
The company's second new build, the Jaya Victory, is a 76m platform supply vessel, delivered from the Guangzhou Hangtong shipyard in China.
The vessel's specs include a 750sq.m clear deck, a cargo deadweight of 3500 tonnes, and emergency response equipment.
Victory was designed by Focal Marine and can carry liquid mud, specialty chemicals and dry bulk cargoes, as well as fuel and water.
The the platform supply vessel is contracted to a Mexican client for a two-year period, with options to extend, while its sister vessel, Jaya Valiant, is expected to be delivered from Guangzhou later this year.
